I enjoyed it very much. I cried and cried when Katy, the main character, mother passed away.
She was such a kind women. I hope to be just like her...I suppose I really just want to be what the Lord wants us to be. I don't have to pick one person, no matter how dear to my heart they may be, to prop up in my mind as my goal to become just like them one day. I should just think of Jesus, and of course still admire the other kind person, but I mustn't forget about our Lord. Back to what I was really speaking of.
I truly loved this story, and understood Katy through many of her trials with the Lord at the beginning of the story, and Mrs. E Prentiss carried me through her life and touched me truly. I got so very attached to Katy's dear mother. I very highly recommend this loving story. Here is a link where you can read it online:

I mostly recommend just buying the book and holding it. I prefer that over virtual reading.
The copy I have is an antique. It had a missionary Church pamphlet from Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1941.
I loved this story. Please read it if you have time. It will bless you!-God will bless you through it.
A truly wonderful story with many kind characters who know the importance of trusting in the Lord, and if they don't they shall.
If you read this story by Mrs. Elizabeth Prentiss you will enjoy it!
