I'm Going Back

Here is a "song" I wrote.(just the lyrics,unfortunatly I can not write my own music.)
This peice of my writing would be a Bluegrass song.:) the lyrics are a bit short,because if I could write music it would be filled in with insturmental parts. Here it is:

            "I'm Going Back"

   I'm going back
 To my old home someday
Where the two mountains
 Make a valley
 Smiling at me so gay

         (Chorus)
 I'm going back to my old home
Where I can hear the bluegrass
Being played fastly
Where the leaves on the trees
Slowly sway in the breeze
I'm going back to Tennessee

 I'm gonna' see
Those fall colors again
And see those
Hilly roads
That have a bend

(Chorus)
I'm going back to my old home
Where I can hear the bluegrass
Being played fastly
Where the leaves on the trees
Slowly sway in the breeze
I'm going back to Tennessee

Precious Faith

Here is a "poem" I wrote. I hope everyone likes it,and here it is:

             "Precious Faith" by Hannah K.

   To have faith in God is a beautiful thing.
You know that He put you here for a reason.
He died on the cross for our sins.

 Sometimes you may stumble with your belief.
Why is it giving you no relief?

 You sit and wonder,"Is it true?"
Or is it even doing anything for you?

 You are working for rewards in Heaven,
And even though you may not realize it,
He is blessing you through your life.
He is our friend.

 As you grow in the faith of the Lord day by day;
You wonder,"Why do I disobey?"

 You ask the mighty Creator to forgive for your sins.
You tell Him that you need His help through this battle of life you must win.

 He gave you a life that He wants you to use,
And faith that you will never lose.

 So never doubt your faith in God's own self,
And now give this gift unto someone else.

Floods

Here is a peice of writing that I wrote after the floods in Nashville,and I was just determined to write something. Here it is:

                                                      "Floods" by Hannah K.

   As a person uses a hammer to beat on a nail;
The rain is beating on the ground.

 You walk into the car.
You think everything is fine.
"It's just a little spell of rain."
But little do you know what is about to happen.

 You drive on to the road.
There is much traffic;you stop.
You finally realize what is starting to occur.
The water is rising higher and higher.

 Crowded headlights and brake lights shine beneath the rain water.
For if you were to fly above, the water would practically be lit with a hazy glow.

 The water is still rising.
But you don't know what to do.
You don't know how to swim!

 Crash!
The water goes through your car windows.
It then slams you down under.
You and your car are quickly sinking.
                ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  I'm afraid you drowned right then and there.
Since you chose Christ,you were saved and live in Heaven.
 Your life was taken away in a second.
So choose the narrow path and spread the Gospel wisely.
Imagine how many people die who are unsaved.
One of My Favorite Poems
"Song of the Sojourner"
by Paul Gerhardt
A pilgrim and a stranger,
I journey here below;
Far distant is my country,
The home to wich I go.
Here I must travel,
Oft weary and opprest,
But there my God shall lead me
To everlasting rest.
I've met with storms and danger,
Even from my early years,
With enemies and conflicts,
With fightings and with fears.
There's nothing here that tempts me
To wish a longer stay,
So I must hasten forwards,
No halting or delay.
It is a well-worn pathway,-
Many have gone before:
The holy saints and prophets,
The patriarchs of yore.
They trod the toilsome journey
In patience and in faith;
And them I fain would follow,
Like them in life and death!
Who would share Abraham's blessing,
Must Abraham's path pursue,
A stranger and a pilgrim,
Like him, must journey through,
The foes must be encountered,
The dangers must be passed;
Only a faithful soldier
Receives the crown at last.
So I must hasten forwards,-
Thank God, the end will come!
This land of my sojourning
Is not my destined home.
That evermore abideth,
Jerusalem above,
The everlasting city,
The land of light and love.
There still my thoughts are dwelling,
'Tis there I long to be!
Come,Lord, and call Thy servant
To blessedness with Thee!
Come, bid my toils be ended,
Let all my wanderings cease;
Call from the wayside lodging,
To the sweet home of peace!
There I shall dwell forever,
No more a stranger guest,
With all Thy blood-bought children
In everlasting rest.
The pilgrim toils forgotten,
The pilgrim conflicts o'er,
All earthly griefs behind us,
Eternal joys before!
-------------------------------------
I love that poem.
It reminds us not be caught up in the earthly things because our eternal life is forever in our home with the Lord. We go through so much pain and sorrow in this world,and soon it will all be gone.
We must journey forward and be a good soldier of faith for Christ.
"A Living Prayer"
In this world I walk alone with no place to call my home
But there's One who holds my hand
The rugged road through barren lands
The way is dark, the road is steep
But He's become my eyes to see
The strength to climb, my griefs to bear
This Savior lives inside me there
In Your love I find release
A haven from my unbelief
Take my life and let me be
A living prayer my God to thee
In these trials of life I find
Another Voice inside my mind
He comforts me and bids me live
Inside the love the Father gives
In your love I find release
A haven from my unbelief
Take my life and let me be
A living prayer my God to thee
take my life and let me be
A living prayer my God to thee.
A song by Alison Krauss and Union Station.
